Each seminar will have a different topic ranging from hiring practices, social media, legal issues today and more. This informal series is designed to be a discussion between human resource representatives and is facilitated by a human resource professional.

| Topic description: To be strategic, non-accounting/finance professionals must understand how economic value is created within an organization’s financial framework. How do organizations fund their operations? How are productive resources transformed into sales? How is profit generated? How do organizations measure financial performance? The aim of the class is to help such professionals better understand their organization’s financial landscape. In this session, we will discuss the key elements of an organization’s economic value creation cycle, the reports that measure financial success (including the Balance Sheet, the Income Statement, and the Statement of Cash Flows), and key financial ratios. |
