The Post-Pandemic Virtual Workforce: What Now?

The COVID-19 pandemic forced employers to quickly shift to a virtual workforce, causing not only a need for new technology and knowledge but also a seismic shift in cultures and work norms. We learned that working at home may not affect productivity as much as we thought it would and that meeting with and leading our employees does not require physical presence. In this session, we will address what virtual work will look like going forward in a post-pandemic era. We will discuss the fairness issues around workplaces that can only allow some of their workers to work from home. Finally, we will talk through employee needs and mental health issues if transitioning to a virtual workforce.
