Job Summary
Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is seeking a dynamic and student-centered full-time Student Services Specialist Sr. in the Outreach and Recruitment department. In this role, you’ll be a brand ambassador for Scottsdale Community College by playing a pivotal part in recruiting and guiding prospective students through their enrollment journey. The recruitment specialist will support the college’s strategic enrollment initiatives by providing recruitment services to schools, community agencies and organizations, and other key internal and external stakeholders. In collaboration with faculty, staff, and marketing, this individual will develop and maintain marketing materials to support the college enrollment goals and recruitment efforts.
This role will work in multiple environments to support the recruitment and enrollment of prospective students. This will include hosting campus tours, presenting in classrooms, high school visitation and workshops, as well as connecting with students through digital platforms like email, phone, chat, and customer relationship management system(s).
The student services specialist is committed to building and maintaining relationships that support the Scottsdale Community College mission and vision through innovation and student-centric work. The team-oriented individual will support emerging needs, where shared ownership and flexibility ensure students receive seamless, timely support.
To best serve the students, department, and college, this position requires a physical presence on campus, with the possibility of partial remote work depending on business needs.

Essential Functions
- Assist with planning, coordinating, scheduling, and executing on-campus events connected to outreach and recruitment of students.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with high school partners, community organizations, workforce partners, and other institutional key stakeholders.
- Plans, coordinates, and delivers presentations and workshops related to the college programs, resources and enrollment process.
- Meets with students using a variety of modalities including: in person or virtually depending on student needs.
30% - Outreach
- Provides follow-up communication to all prospective students, high school counselors and others via phone, mail, email, and social media.
- Represents SCC at college fairs, community events, enrollment events, high schools, and other outreach opportunities.
- Engages and assists prospective students from inquiry through enrollment, providing a personalized experience through the enrollment process.
25% - Data Management, Analysis, and CRM
- Coordinates the facilitation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with data entry, monitoring prospective student matriculation, and tracking statistical information related to outreach activities.
- Maintains accurate records of prospective student interactions through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, including processing Requests for Information.
- Develops assessment methods, collects and analyzes data in order to determine program effectiveness, and prepares reports.
- Develops targeted campaigns for prospective students and special populations.
15% - Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Special Projects
- Works collaboratively with Enrollment Services (Admissions & Records, Financial Aid, Testing, Advising, Cashiers), academic programs, marketing, and other SCC/MCCCD departments.
- Provides support for cross-functional initiatives and special events, including peak enrollment periods, new-student welcome sessions, orientation, dual enrollment onboarding, and other college events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
This classification may be assigned to lead other regular staff.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Receives general supervision on routine items, which are performed according to established standards and procedures, and receives specific work instruction regarding non-routine matters and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered
Desired Qualifications
B. Bilingual in Spanish to support Hispanic student population
C. Direct experience recruiting students or customers in an educational or business setting, with evidence of speaking and presenting to large groups
D. Demonstrated effective collaborations with college faculty, staff, high schools, and community partners
E. Experience with technology software such as Student Information System (SIS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, ConexED, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc. related to Outreach and Recruitment
F. One year of full-time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two years.
Special Working Conditions
· May be required to travel to other MCCCD locations.
· May be required to work evenings and weekends.
· May require prolonged periods of sitting and viewing a computer screen.
· May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
· This position requires a physical presence on campus with possible partial remote work depending on business needs to best serve the students, department, and college.
· Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions
· Possession of a valid Level I DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required
