These parents wanted what all parents want for their children - growth\, opportunity and the ability to integrate and make a difference in the community.  STARS was born with a modest city grant and a trailer for its headquarters.  Today\, STARS is an important part of our city's life and has grown substantially over the course of its 43 years.
