Her public relations company\, Martz Public Relations\, is one of the largest public relations firms in the state.\n\nSome of Carrie’s accomplishments include serving as the marketing co-chair of Super Bowl XXX and being named the 1996 recipient of the Athena Award\, given by the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce to the Business Woman of the Year.\n\nIn 1997\, Carrie was recognized by Today’s Arizona Woman as the recipient of The Golden Heart of Business Award and also was honored with The Most Distinguished Alumna award from the Marketing Department at Arizona State University. Also in 1997\, Carrie served as the honorary chair for the Sojourner Center’s Capital Campaign\, raising almost $1.9 million for abused women.\n\nOne of Carrie’s innovative\, community-based projects is the nationally recognized Home of Miracles program. Featured on NBC’s TODAY show\, it is considered one of Arizona’s most successful charitable events\, raising more than $7.5 million in its last four programs for Phoenix Children’s Hospital and various other local charities. Because of The Martz Agency’s involvement in this philanthropy\, the agency was named in April 1998 as one of the 10 finalists in The Newman’s Own George Award for The Most Generous Company in America.\n\nCurrently\, Carrie is Chairperson for the Board of Directors of Phoenix Suns Charities\, which she has served on the board since 1996. In addition\, Carrie is past-President of TAAN – the Transworld Advertising Association Network\, of which she has been a member since 1985.\n\nCarrie is very active in the Agency and primarily focuses on business development and strategic planning.
