SUMMARY:Ribbon Cutting - Hospice of the Valley
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate Hospice of the Valley’s Northeast Clinical Office’s move to north Scottsdale! The office serves as the home base for 170 staff members who serve 500 patients and families each day in Scottsdale and surrounding communities. Join us for the ribbon-cutting\, refreshments and a tour. Founded in 1977\, Hospice of the Valley is a not-for-profit that provides end-of-life care to patients and supports their families in Maricopa and Pinal counties. Most care is provided in patients’ homes\, as well as in nursing and assisted living facilities and group homes. Hospice of the Valley also has 16 palliative care units for inpatient care for limited periods\, including two in Scottsdale and one in northeast Phoenix. The impact of hospice care is immense. “Get rid of that idea that hospice means the end. It’s helpful at all stages. It just makes the quality of your life so much better\,” said patient Susie Coyle.
