Laura’s successful fundraising career spans more than 35 years. Her professional activities include membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals from which she received the Fundraising Executive of the Year Award in 1990 and also served on its board of directors. Laura is also a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. Among Laura’s community activities\, she serves as the current Chairman of the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts Advisory Board\; a member of the Board of Overseers of the Phoenix Symphony\; and was a founding member of the Friends of the Foundation for Senior Living. Laura considers her appointment as a Trustee of the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust in 1999 a unique privilege and an exceptional honor.\nGordon McConnell  Gordon McConnell is the Assistant Vice President for Innovation\, Entrepreneurship Venture Acceleration\, as well as being an Assistant Professor of Practice at Arizona State University.
