DESCRIPTION:The World Affairs Council of Arizona is pleased to invite you to our very special 2008 Annual Dinner Update on Citizen Diplomacy: Supporting the Growth of Arizona in the Global Community With Dr. Sherry Mueller\, President\, National Council for International Visitors and Mr. Lee Knowlton\, President\, International\, Kahala Corp. Dr. Mueller has been the NCIV President since 2001. She is a Founding Member and Chair of the Coalition for Citizen Diplomacy and serves on a number of boards that focus on enhancing global learning and understanding. Dr. Mueller travels and speaks around the world. She has a B.A. cum laude from the School of International Service\, American University and an M.A. in International Affairs\, M.A.L.D. in Law and Diplomacy\, and PhD. in U.S.-Soviet Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy\, Tufts University. Mr. Knowlton\, a key member of the Leadership Team of Kahala Corp.\, leads the international efforts of all of Kahala’s brands which include Cold Stone Creamery\, Blimpie and Samurai Sam’s. During his nearly 20-year career\, Lee has held executive and director positions with a NASCAR License\, Planet Hollywood and was Director of Operations for TGI Fridays in Korea. He has been a featured speaker at Thunderbird and ASU and has participated in both local and national media broadcasts. He is on the Leadership Board of GPEC and is the Kahala corporate representative on the WACAZ board.
