Meet Our Host: McDowell Sonoran Conservancy
The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy preserves and advances natural open space through science, education and stewardship. Born from a vision and recognition of the importance of open space and realized by like-minded individuals banding together, advocating to protect the land with diligence and deep understanding, the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy was formed to be a steward of the more than 30,500 acres of Sonoran Desert habitat in Scottsdale. With over 750,000 residents and visitors using the Preserve each year, the good works of the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy and our volunteers have been vital to maintaining and patrolling trails, guiding hikes, mountain bike, and equestrian rides, conducting leading-edge scientific studies on wildlife and plant species and providing interactive ecological education and outreach programs for all.

Why You'll Want to Be There
AM Connect brings Scottsdale’s business community together in a setting unlike any other. Network over coffee and breakfast surrounded by Sonoran Desert scenery, connect with prospective partners, and enjoy a chance to win a raffle prize. After networking, choose your own adventure: explore the approximately 4.7-mile Loop Trail via Whiskey Bottle, Turpentine, and Black Hill trails, or take the easier Three Trails hike, a 3+ mile route with less than 300 feet of elevation gain. Hiking is optional and takes place after the event.
