Karen Cruz is an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran who served 3 ½ years in the Army. (She enlisted in December 2011, after 9-11.) When she got out of the Army, she decided she wanted to become a social worker and finished her M.S.W. last year. She is a social worker at the Arizona State Veterans Home. She is also a wife (her husband was also in the Army) and a mom to three kids. She has an amazing story, and inspiring outlook on life.
