Join the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce for a special Women in Leadership: Women of Valor luncheon featuring four accomplished military veterans who have transformed the skills and values developed through their service into successful careers in healthcare and leadership at HonorHealth.
Hear how their military experiences shaped the leaders they are today, influenced their approach to teamwork and decision-making, and prepared them to navigate complex challenges in healthcare. The conversation will explore their transitions from military to civilian careers, the lessons they carried forward, and how they continue to mentor, advocate, and create opportunities for veterans and future leaders.
Meet Our Featured Leaders
Daryl Grassel, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, is Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, overseeing nursing practice, patient care, quality, safety, workforce engagement, and professional development. She joined HonorHealth in 2017 and has advanced through leadership roles focused on patient care excellence and high-performing teams. Daryl began her nursing career as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, where she developed a lasting passion for leadership. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and is committed to empowering caregivers, improving outcomes, and building thriving workplace cultures.
Lynn Holland is Director of Healthcare Technology Management for HonorHealth, where she has spent 24 years advancing healthcare technology, operational excellence, and patient safety. A U.S. Air Force veteran who supported Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Lynn’s leadership is grounded in service, integrity, resilience, and teamwork. She is a Certified Healthcare Operations Professional, serves on the Arizona Healthcare Technology Management Association Board, and volunteers as an HonorHealth Ambassador. Named Arizona’s HTM Director of the Year in 2026, Lynn is passionate about mentoring future leaders, supporting women in leadership, and strengthening the connection between healthcare and technology.
Kim Olson Gibbs, MD, FAAFP, is Associate Chief Medical Officer in Primary Care for HonorHealth Medical Group, supporting physicians and advanced practice providers and serving as liaison to HonorHealth’s primary care residency programs. She entered the U.S. Air Force through the Health Professions Scholarship Program and served as a Flight Surgeon at Nellis Air Force Base, supporting force readiness and flying with multiple aviation units. After completing her military service, she trained at Scottsdale Healthcare’s Heuser Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Olson Gibbs also serves on the boards of Innovation Partners Organization and Innovation Care Partners and is passionate about medical education.
Donna Tew, MSHS, BSN, RN, NE-BC, RN-BC, CHSE, is Director of Military & Community Partnerships and the Bioskills Lab at HonorHealth. With 32 years in healthcare, including 24 years in the U.S. Air Force, her experience spans intensive care, flight nursing, emergency preparedness, staff development, and nursing leadership. After retiring from the Air Force, Donna joined HonorHealth through its SkillBridge program and now supports trauma training for military medics and community first responders. She also advances veteran initiatives through HonorHealth VETS, the Scottsdale Chamber’s Veteran and Military Affairs Coalition, and the Scottsdale Veteran Advisory Commission.
