About Us

ASU Kerr Cultural Center is a hidden historic gem in Scottsdale, presenting live music, theater, comedy and storytelling in an intimate adobe setting. Built by trailblazing violist and composer Louise Lincoln Kerr, the venue features jazz, global music, indie folk, classical, soul, rock and other unexpected performances. Its relaxed Southwestern atmosphere invites guests to discover emerging and established artists while experiencing Arizona history. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, ASU Kerr includes Kerr’s 1948 adobe home and the Studio, built in 1959 with handmade bricks created from earth on the property. Donated to Arizona State University as a performance venue, ASU Kerr continues Louise’s legacy of bringing artists and audiences together. The distinctive space is also available for private events.
