About Us

The Scottsdale Historical Society is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to preserving, presenting, and interpreting the history and cultural heritage of Scottsdale and the Southwest. As the city’s official historical society, it operates the Scottsdale Historical Museum in the 1910 Little Red Schoolhouse, featuring photographs, artifacts, changing exhibits, educational programs, group tours, and speakers. The Society also serves as a primary resource for historical records and community research, connecting residents and visitors with the people, places, and stories that shaped Scottsdale. Membership supports preservation efforts and provides access to museum admission, special events, and programs.
