About Us
Southwest Human Development strengthens the foundation Arizona’s children need for a great start in life. As Arizona’s largest nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development, we focus on the critical first five years of a child’s life—supporting children, families, and caregivers with the care, attention, and resources needed to thrive. With more than 700 staff members, we deliver 40 programs and services that reach over 140,000 children, families, and professionals each year. Our work includes child development and mental health, Easterseals disabilities services, early literacy, Head Start and Early Head Start, family support and child welfare, and professional development and training. Our vision is a positive future for every child.
