About Us

St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, the world’s first food bank, has been providing hunger relief across Arizona since 1967. Serving three-quarters of the state, we help provide more than 250,000 nutritious meals every day to families, children, and seniors facing food insecurity. Through efficient operations and strong purchasing power, every $1 donated helps create 5 meals for neighbors in need. We supply food at no cost to more than 600 partner agencies—including food pantries, shelters, senior centers, and afterschool programs—strengthening hundreds of local nonprofits and supporting millions of Arizonans each year. Founded in Phoenix, our mission continues: nourishing communities today and offering hope for tomorrow.
