International School of Arizona (ISA) Robotics Club Preparing for
VEX 2025 World Championship with
New Coaches and Exciting Teams!
(Scottsdale, Arizona)
October 2024 — This year, the ISA Robotics Club is thrilled to announce the addition of two new coaches, Surya Prakash Salapathy and Jessica Murray, who will be guiding and inspiring students from 3rd to 8th grade. With their expertise and passion, the club is gearing up for the VEX 2025 World Championships, set to take place in Dallas, Texas, from May 6-14th, 2025.
The ISA Robotics Club is offered as an after-school program designed to nurture students' problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and technical skills. By fostering collaboration between students with diverse talents, the club aims to create competitive teams capable of building, programming, and controlling robots for the upcoming international competition.
Currently, ISA has formed one middle school team (6th to 8th grade) comprising of Amerie, Ethan, Kai, and Kiptyn. This team is working on advanced metal bots in preparation for the VEX V5 Championship. As part of their journey, the team will participate in two regional practice matches—on November 9th at Desert Ridge High School in Mesa and on December 7th at Highland Prep West in Avondale. These events will provide invaluable experience as they prepare to take on the world stage next year.
Additionally, about 10 enthusiastic students from 4th and 5th grades are actively participating in after-school sessions twice a week, preparing for the VEX IQ Championship. These young minds are developing crucial skills in logical thinking and creativity as they explore STEM-based learning in a hands-on environment.
In addition to the competitive teams, ISA offers robotics as an elective for students interested in practical STEM learning without the pressures of competition. This elective gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of robotics and technology in a supportive and educational setting. ISA is proud to provide these opportunities for students to excel in STEM education, and the club looks forward to a successful year of innovation, teamwork, and competition on the global stage.
ISA, a private, nonprofit school located in North Scottsdale, was recently voted by the Scottsdale community as one of the Best Private School and Preschool in Arizona. Its mission, ‘Opening Doors to Success in a Constantly Changing World’ does exactly that! Founded 26 years ago in Arizona, with a culturally inclusive curriculum, ISA offers French & Spanish language immersion programs that begins at 18 months of age and continues through 8th grade.
