Six-Time World Champion Scottsdale Chorus Is Seeking A Rehearsal Venue

The Scottsdale Chorus, a six-time International Champion, is an official chapter of Golden West Region 21, Sweet Adelines International. Founded in 1962, the chorus has been a staple of the Scottsdale community ever since. In 2018, following our sixth gold medal win, Mayor Jim Lane declared 2019 as “The Year of the Scottsdale Chorus”.
 
As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Scottsdale Chorus is funded by its members, fundraising efforts, and performance opportunities. Our most recent annual show was held at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.
 
To maintain our highest standards of performance, we rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Our members live throughout the state, from Tucson, Flagstaff, Surprise and Apache Junction, and we desire a rehearsal hall location which is central for all our members.
 
Our requirements include:

• A main rehearsal space at least 65’ x 30’ with a minimum ceiling height of 12’
• The availability of 2-3 smaller meeting rooms for breakout sessions
• Onsite storage space for our risers, at least 26’ x 9’ (240-250 sf)
• Onsite locked storage space for sound equipment, at least 6’ x 4’ (24 sf)
• Access to your internal WIFI
• Onsite parking – up to 100 vehicles
• HVAC control during occupancy
• Tuesday evening availability beginning at 5:15 pm to allow for set-up (with the option of additional weekend days when needed)
• Area for eating
• Monthly lease payments
• A main contact person available for troubleshooting during occupancy

• Set up and take down of risers and sound equipment
• General clean up, returning the space to its previous condition
• Lock up of the space after each use
• A current calendar of requested dates
• Timely requests for additional weekend dates
• Rehearsal location publicly disclosed on our social media and website pages
