Abdo Announces Phil Wuollet as New Tax Leader
 
 
Scottsdale, AZ – October 19, 2026 – Abdo LLP, a leading full-service accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Phillip (Phil) Wuollet, CPA, MTax, as its new Tax Leader.
 
Wuollet joined Abdo as a partner in 2022 to help establish and grow the firm's Scottsdale office. Since opening its doors with a two-person team, the office has expanded significantly and now serves clients throughout Arizona across the real estate, construction, manufacturing, nonprofit, and government sectors.
 
With more than 20 years of experience in tax and business advisory services, Wuollet brings deep expertise in real estate, income tax advisory, strategic planning, and entity structuring. In his new role, he will lead Abdo's tax practice while continuing to support the firm's growth and client service efforts.

Since 2025, Abdo Partner Christine (Chris) Powers has served as both Abdo's Operations Leader and Tax Leader. With Wuollet assuming responsibility for the firm's tax practice, Powers will now focus fully on leading firm operations and supporting Abdo's continued growth.

Wuollet holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Taxation from Arizona State University. He is a member of both the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He and his wife, Tiina, live in Phoenix and have 8 children and 3 grandchildren.
