Arizona Boardwalk Breaks Ground on
New Hyatt Place Hotel
The Project Marks Arizona Boardwalk’s Continued Growth and
Creates New Opportunities to ‘Stay Where You Play’

SCOTTSDALE/SALT RIVER-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY, Ariz. (July 27, 2026)— Arizona Boardwalk officially broke ground today on the Arizona Boardwalk Hyatt Place at Talking Stick, marking a major milestone in the continued growth of the entertainment destination and its vision of becoming Arizona's premier multi-day family getaway.
Located adjacent to Arizona Boardwalk within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC), the four-story, 142-room hotel will make it easier than ever for guests to extend their stay and experience everything the destination has to offer. The project reflects the increasing demand from visitors who travel from across Arizona and beyond to explore Arizona Boardwalk's growing collection of attractions and the many entertainment experiences throughout the Talking Stick Entertainment District.
"We know our guests are looking for more time to experience everything Arizona Boardwalk has to offer," said "Hyatt Place responds to that demand by giving families the opportunity to truly 'stay where they play'—to relax, recharge and enjoy a multi-day getaway while creating lasting memories at Arizona Boardwalk."
The Arizona Boardwalk Hyatt Place at Talking Stick will feature 142 guest rooms, a lobby bar and lounge, breakfast and dining area, meeting space, fitness center, outdoor pool, and approximately 230 parking spaces. The hotel's design celebrates its location within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, incorporating architectural elements inspired by the Community's rich cultural heritage. In a nod to neighboring OdySea Aquarium, guests will be welcomed by a signature aquarium in the lobby, setting the tone for a memorable stay from the moment they arrive.
The hotel is ideally situated adjacent to Arizona Boardwalk along the Loop 101 within the Talking Stick Entertainment District and just minutes from Talking Stick Resort, Talking Stick Golf Club, Topgolf, PopStroke, KTR, Mavrix, Medieval Times, iFLY Indoor Skydiving and other popular attractions, creating even more opportunities for overnight vacation packages and positioning the hotel as an ideal home base for exploring the area.
The groundbreaking also represents a significant milestone in Arizona Boardwalk’s continued evolution. The Hyatt Place will serve as the gateway to the destination’s nearly 50 additional acres planned for future family-friendly entertainment, dining, retail and other experiences, further expanding Arizona Boardwalk as one of the Southwest’s premier entertainment destinations.
The new Arizona Boardwalk Hyatt Place at Talking Stick, which was designed by Deutsch Architecture Group and is being built by Layton Construction, is projected to welcome its first guests in late 2027.
