General Dynamics Mission Systems Wins Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award

General Dynamics Mission Systems Wins Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award
Prestigious award goes to only 60 organizations worldwide in 2024.

FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Mission Systems is proud to announce it has received the 2024 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA). This coveted award goes only to organizations that meet rigorous standards for an engaged workplace culture.

Gallup created the award in 2007 to identify and celebrate companies that incorporate employee engagement into the bedrock of how they do their work, motivate their teams and achieve business outcomes. To be eligible for the GEWA, organizations must administer Gallup’s Q12 employee engagement survey and satisfy rigorous criteria, including 80 percent employee participation in the survey.

"We are honored to be recognized among the top organizations in the world for providing an exceptional workplace for our more than 12,000 General Dynamics Mission Systems employees around the globe," said Chris Brady, president of GD Mission Systems. "Each of our leaders and all of our employees should take great pride in this award. They are the ones who have made employee engagement a cultural and strategic priority and this achievement is a testament to their commitment and success.”

Just 23 percent of employees are engaged worldwide, according to Gallup. The engagement level among Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award winners is 70 percent. On average, these elite organizations have 14 engaged employees for every one actively disengaged employee — seven times the rate in the U.S. and 11 times the global average.

“Congratulations to the 60 organizations that have redefined what it means to be a great place to work. Your commitment to creating environments where employees are listened to, valued and positioned to use their strengths every day is what sets you apart. Thank you for setting a new global standard in what it means to be a thriving workplace,” said Jon Clifton, Gallup chief executive officer.
