Sonoran Speaker Series Presents: Starry Desert Nights
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - The Holland Center and Desert Foothills Land Trust invite the community to an enchanting evening of discovery at the upcoming Foothills Speaker Series event, "Starry Desert Nights." This free event will take place on Tuesday, December 2, at 6:00 PM at the Holland Center.
Featured speaker Jenny Hall from Paradise Valley Community College will guide attendees through the wonders of the night sky, unraveling the mysteries of the universe through the science of stars. Following the presentation, participants will have the unique opportunity to observe celestial bodies up close, using professional-grade telescopes provided by Focus Astronomy.
"This event offers a perfect blend of education and hands-on experience," said Vicki Preston, President and CEO of Desert Foothills Land Trust. "We're thrilled to bring together experts like Jenny Hall and Kevin LeGore from Focus Astronomy to share their passion and knowledge with our community.
From curious beginners to seasoned stargazers, Starry Desert Nights offers an awe-inspiring journey through the cosmos.

The Foothills Speaker Series is a joint initiative of Desert Foothills Land Trust and Holland Center, offering free educational programming that connects community members with the natural and cultural heritage of their Sonoran Desert home. This ongoing lecture series brings together residents and expert speakers to explore local ecology, cultural history, and outdoor recreation, creating accessible opportunities for lifelong learning and fostering a deeper understanding of the unique Sonoran Desert environment.
